After fourteen years of marriage, however, she begins to feel that she is only existing rather than living in such opulent surroundings of prosperity and abundance. This soul-stirring novel begins when Josephine is fed up with trailing behind Maxwell Monroe Townsend, Jr., M.D., and sets out to find divine balance between the pleasures of this world and her own personal morals and values. Overtime, Josephine’s mistaken innocence takes on a whole new dimension when she discovers the truth with her own eyes.
